Big Texan Steak House

Home of the 72 oz steak dinner. No we didn’t try it :), but we saw one guy finish with seconds to spare. Jana got the steak quesadilla and Mike got a chicken fried steak. Very touristy, but the food was actually good.

Cadillac Ranch

We had to stop here. We wrote Hi Mom, MEM for the girls, and M+J. Not only are the Caddilacs painted, so is the road, the roadside barrier, and the dumpster. Super windy and we ended up with blue hands.

The Cross Of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Groom

Detoured to see this 190 foot steel cross. There were many visitors since it was Easter. Besides the cross there are 14 Stations of the Cross statues plus the Empty Tomb.

This site is maintained by The Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ Ministries

After the cross, we stopped to see the leaning tower in Britten.

Nearby we found the Leaning Tower 0f Britten. It was bought for water storage but didnt meet requirements. A rich Texan oil man then made it into a roadside attraction.

Rock Inn Cafe

We stopped in Memphis, TX for lunch. Mike likes local places.

The menu had a wide variety of different foods from breakfast to BBQ. They also had a buffet.

Jana got the Grilled Chicken Salad and Mike got the Rock Inn Club Salad (We’re saving our calories for supper).
