French Quarter Sights

Weekends in the French Quarter have been chaos. The weekend before halloween is BONKERS. We got off our crazy streetcar ride to be surrounded by “witches”, full out “Barbie” bachelorette parties and people dressed in all sorts of costumes. Every store and restaurant has halloween decorations. Many balconies have decorations…some funny and some that really look evil.

We are not into card readings, haunted tours, voodoo or occult stuff….but if you are, NOLA is the place for you. Most people were having a good time. People watching is great here.

I did see the horse, “Old Man” from Pippi Longstocking. The music was amazing today.

French Market

We walked through the French Market. It is an open stall market that sells souvenirs. Not really our thing. There were a couple of food sellers that had huge lines and smelled great. There were some sit down restaurants as well. A trio and a single musician were playing jazz ballads. A good place to people watch and buy things you don’t need.
