Our Travels
Jana and Mike decided to try the newly opened Mountain Mike’s Pizza. We ordered a Pikes Peak pizza (multiple meats) online and it was ready when we arrived. The pizza reminded us of Mr. Gatti’s in a good way. Little thicker crust but still crispy.

Our passports had expired so we set about renewing them. First we went to Walgreens to get our photo. There were restrictions we didn’t know about, like you can’t be smiling.
Jana then tried to make appointments so we could get them renewed. But we found out Mike’s old passport was two years newer than Jana’s. It turns out Mike had to mail in his application while Jana has to go in person.
We met Jimmy & Holly for an 80’s concert. The band was pretty good and we sat just far enough away to still be able to talk. We have been to Marty B’s before but never sat on the patio bar side. It is first come, first serve seating at wooden picnic tables with plenty of fans and sail cloth to provide shade. A very family friendly spot.
We ordered off the regular dinner menu. Our appetizer was the Brisket Queso and chips that was excellent. Jana got the Stuffed Green Chili Mac and Cheese with Brisket and I got the Brisket Tamale Cake (Brisket and red slaw on a corn cake) for dinner. Both were very good. Service was wonderful.

We came to Denton to meet Kid 3 who wanted to come here for supper. We got bottomless Chips and Salsa (with a reward through the Chili’s App) and caught up on college life. Mike got a Just Bacon Burger, Jana got Honey Chipotle Wings, and the kid got Bacon Chicken Ranch Quesadilla.

At the suggestions of a friend we tried Sickie’s Garage. The chain started in North Dakota where a group of j worked on cars. YThen they started burgers I and it lead to this.
